May 25, Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Department of high-tech development and industrialisation, major special projects and Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Affairs Centre organised a project evaluation expert group to carry out a comprehensive acceptance review of the major scientific and technological special projects in Hunan Province undertaken by the company, including "research and application of key technologies of intelligent complete sets of equipment for super underground engineering" - sub-project "development and application of high-performance long-life cutting tools". Sub-item "Development and application of high-performance and long-life cutting tools" carried out a comprehensive acceptance review. Mao Shanwen, general manager, deputy secretary of the Party committee and project leader, Xu Tao, deputy general manager, Zeng Huiqin, deputy chief technician, representatives of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Group Corporation and Central South University, main project members and relevant management personnel attended the acceptance review meeting.
At the meeting, the project team made a comprehensive report on the progress of the project. After listening to the report, reviewing the information, on-site inspection, questioning and discussion, the evaluation panel unanimously agreed that the project passed the acceptance.
Disc-shaped hob as a full-section hard rock tunnel boring machine "teeth", its performance and life directly restricts the cost and efficiency of the entire tunnel construction, is a key component of the tunnel boring machine. The project of "development and application of high-performance and long-life cutting tools" takes the national major basic construction projects as its traction, and has researched and developed the products of electroslag remelting cutter-ring hob, jet-forming cutter-ring hob, tooth-encrusted hob, high geothermal hob, etc., which have been used in the key projects at home and abroad such as Linzhi section of Sichuan-Tibet line, Dusi Mountain Railway Project, Malaysia East Coast Railway Project, and so on. East Coast Railway project and other key projects at home and abroad have been successfully applied. The implementation of the project, a strong impetus to China's hob manufacturing level, to help full-section hard rock tunnel boring machine equipment system integration, for the construction of manufacturing power, transport power to make a positive contribution to the construction of the country.
